What the heck is a "Dutch Springs Dash" ?

THE SHORT VERSION: First of all, it's one heck of a good time is what it is! Dutch Springs Park is a cultivated SCUBA and Adventure park located in Bethlehem, PA. The park offers unlimited diving for one low entrance fee, onsite equipment rentals and air fills, camping, an inflatable water park, and even a high ropes course. There's something for everyone!

The D.S. Dash is a weekend getaway to this awesome site coordinated and hosted by CORE Diving. We will meet up on Friday September, 13th at the TA Truck Stop in Coventry, RI (right off exit 5A on RT 95). After we loadup on gummy worms and orange soda we'll drive to Bethlehem, PA and crash for the night at one of the many hotels located within a few miles of Dutch. Then it's a weekend of fun, diving, and education (if you want). We'll have all day Saturday (and night if you'd like to sneak in a night dive) and Sunday morning. We'll leave the park between noon and 1pm so that we can be back in RI by 6 - 7pm.

What Does it Cost?: CORE is charging NOTHING! Zip, Zilch, Nada. Then again, we are only doing the coordination and logistics. Everyone will be responsible for paying their own way, but we've sussed it all out for you. So, here you go:

The park charges $45 per day and $10 at night for entrance and to dive. So, plan $100 for park fees.
Hotels range between $85 - $120 per night and we will be there for two nights. Alternatively, if you'd like to camp on Saturday night, you can do so for only $15 (bring all your own gear).
CORE will provide airfills for $8ea. So, if you do 4 dives on Sat, a night dive, and 2 on Sunday you'll expect to spend around: $56 on air.
If you need gear you can rent it from CORE or from Dutch (see the rate card on the right)
Want to take a class while you are there? We will be offering Advanced OW ($250), Nitrox ($199), and Wreck ($199). That said, you don't have to take a class... feel free to come just to dive for fun with some friends!
