Extend Your Bottom Time!
EANx (Nitrox) Certification
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba course. Why? Because scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then don’t hesitate to become an enriched air diver.
Requirements
-
You must be 12 years old or older

Class Structure
You’ll learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations. Class will take place over two (2) evening sessions (approximately 2.5 hours each) and will culminate in two simulation exercises and an exam. Over the course of the class you will:
Identify strategies for managing oxygen exposure
Practice analyzing oxygen content in your scuba tank
Learn procedures for obtaining EANx air fills
Practice setting and using your dive computer to manage enriched air nitrox dives
What Does Training Cost?
Enriched Air Diver training costs only $250. Students are expected to bring their dive computer. If you don't have a computer, your CORE instructor can help you select and purchase the appropriate equipment at Anderson's Ski and Dive in East Greenwich, RI. Rental computers are available, but are not recommended (it's best to train on a computer you will regularly use).
There are no other required costs associated with CORE's EANx Diver training. Class materials are included in the price of the class.
